OVERVIEW

MADiT promotes cutting-edge scientific research in the areas of engineering, (terrestrial and aquatic) biodiversity, paleontology and development of biomedical and medical equipment and processes through research, technological development and access to metal, wax and polymer additive manufacturing infrastructure as well as to vacuum casting systems, 3D digitization and X-ray Computed Tomography.

  • Powder bed fusion. Additive manufacturing for the manufacture of parts and articles with metallic, thermoplastic or ceramic materials.
  • Vat photopolimerization. Additive manufacturing for the manufacture of parts and objects using photopolymerizable resins with needs of resolution of up to 10 micrometers, including resins with wax-like characteristics.
